8 months old!

8 months have passed by and it has only seemed like just a few months ago that we brought our little guy home from the hospital.  He is full of energy these days, and keeping Mom and Dad on our toes!

Since his first diagnosed ear infection a few weeks ago, we have had two more episodes.  We found out that Andrew does not do well on Omnicef (neither does Mom) and that Bactrim seems to be doing the trick.  Poor buddy just has not been himself, although I think we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.  I do believe, however, that tubes will be in our future due to the fact that as soon as we finish a round of antibiotics the ear infections return.  No worries though, because I do happen to know just a FEW good ENT's in town!

What we have been dealing with!  Gross, but I must remember the good and the bad!

Cute butt!  Love those rolls!

Getting so big!

So our stats/milestones for this months are:
  • 22 lbs
  • LOVES Mum Mums (rice crackers)
  • Sits in a big boy highchair at restaurants now
  • Loves to wave at EVERYONE
  • Can roll anywhere he wants to go, and is VERY close to crawling
  • Still says dada and baba.  No mama yet.
  • Still is eating any and every food we put in front of him
  • Still loves his bouncy
  • Can stand up in his crib
  • Let me out!
I can stand up, watch me
    See, I made it!

34 weeks

Nothing new to report here from the Owen household.  Andrew finished his antibiotics for his first ear infections and is finally on the mend.  I am sure this will not be our last bout with the ears, but if we do have to go the tube route Mom knows several good ENT's!!

Our little man contineus to grow and is weighing in at around 21 to 22 lbs.  He is wearing anywhere from
12-18 month clothes, and I swear will likely be in 24 months clothing by his first birthday!  He still only has his two bottom teeth, but I am certain that his two top teeth are trying to make their way on the scene.

Sporting my awesome retro camera onesie given to be by my Aunt Clare!

I don't know if I have noted in previous posts Andrews love of his jumper.  Jumping is his absolute most favorite thing to do, and he will spend several minutes "jump, jump, jumping!"  Here is a little video of him in action.

We finally got Andrew to say "Dada."  Jeremy was, of course, thrilled and now that he has said it my full attention is moving towards him saying "Mama."  We continue to enjoy every moment with this little miracle and love watching him grow and learn.
